Creating a pleasant
living environment.

Noise pollution from outdoor units is often underestimated. True comfort begins with peace and quiet. By translating practical acoustic knowledge
into effective solutions, the experts at ISOPARTNER Netherlands have developed an easy-to-use, noise-reducing product to reduce the noise of outdoor units.

  • Effective noise reduction (up to 8 dB)
  • Minimal impact on air circulation
  • Quick and easy to install
  • Collaboration with leading brands (including Vaillant, Daikin, Bosch)
  • Affordable alternative to expensive enclosures
  • Tailored advice for each situation (ground, facade, roof, balcony)

Noise barrier with Sonodamp S60P panels

By using our Sonodamp S60P panels with high sound insulation and sound absorption values, in combination with a closed-cell sound-absorbing facade panel, a high level of noise reduction is achieved in the most common situations.

  • Front of pump 2.0 meters away => measurement height 1.5 m 8.2 dB
  • Side next to pump 2.0 meters away => measurement height 2.3 m 8.1 dB
  • Side next to pump 0.5 meters away => measurement height 2.3 m 5.7 dB

These values were measured at an outdoor location using certified equipment with a: 4.73 kW / Vaillant aroTHERM pure VWL 65/7.2.

Capacity

Minimal impact on the operation of the outdoor unit

The specific construction and positioning of the screen, in combination with the use of air stoppers in practical tests, has shown only a minor impact on the operation of the outdoor unit.

Tested in collaboration with Vaillant, among others. Changes in the situation and unit, as well as additions to the screen, will affect its operation.

Materials

Materials used

The daBo sound barrier for outdoor units is made from sustainably tested materials for a long service life.

  1. Exterior: galvanised steel with weather-resistant and impact-resistant 50μm PU coating.
  2. Interior: perforated galvanised steel with 60mm sound-absorbing rock wool filling finished with fibre fleece.
  3. Absorbent façade panel: closed cell, minimal moisture absorption, to prevent reflection.
  4. Rain profile: to prevent moisture between the façade and the absorbent panel.
  5. Air stoppers: reduce the risk of recirculation.

Assembly instructions

Installed in 10 minutes by one person

The daBo is quick and easy to set up. Thanks in part to the three pre-finished panels, assembly is a piece of cake. The daBo can be set up by one person within 10 minutes. Even after assembly and attachment to the surface, the screen can be easily removed and replaced when maintenance is required on the unit. Watch the full instructional video that shows how easy it is to install daBo.

Frequently asked
questions about daBo

What is the daBo sounds screen?

The daBo noise barrier is an acoustic screen specially designed to reduce the noise from outdoor units of heat pumps and air conditioners. The screen is made from SONODAMP panels with high sound absorption and sound insulation values.

How much noise can a daBo screen reduce from the outdoor units of heat pumps and air conditioners?

The daBo sound barrier can reduce the noise level of outdoor units by approximately ±8 dB, with little impact on the performance of the heat pump or air conditioner. By using our Sonodamp S60P panels with high sound insulation and sound absorption values, in combination with a closed-cell sound-absorbing facade panel, a high level of noise reduction is achieved in the most common situations.

For which installations is daBo suitable?

daBo is designed for small to medium-sized heat pumps and air conditioners, suitable for installation on the ground, against a facade, or next to a fence.

Which models and colors are available?

The daBo screen is available in Classic and Large models, with color options such as RAL 9002, RAL 7016, and RAL 6005. The daBo sound screen will soon be available in other sizes as well.

How is the daBo sound screen constructed?

The screen consists of:

  • Sonodamp S60P panels with high sound absorption
  • Sound-absorbing Caldifoam material to prevent reflection
  • Perforated galvanized steel on the inside
  • Brackets for easy mounting on a solid surface.
